The course gives a general introduction to display based on organic optoelectronic materials and organic devices; such as TFT-LCD, PDP, organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs).
The course starts with a brief introduction to various displays and focused on OLEDs as a general platform for defining key aspects in organic optoelectronic devices.
Aspects of material and device physics related to the operation and performance of these devices, such as; electronic structure of organic molecules, key photophysical processes in organic molecules, and exciton processes in organic solids, are covered.
Finally, an overview of OLED device is provided.
